Life's Brief Candle


Do you remember the poem, "Life's Brief Candle" that we've learned in literature?
Now, I really experience showed in this poem...

On last Sunday, My grandpa received a phone call.. It was a bad news saying that my grand-uncle (my grandpa's younger brother) was in a coma. Then, they immediately decided to rush down to Johor Bahru to visit him. But,before they managed to depart, another call said that, he had already passed away.

Before that,we,as the younger grandchildren didn't discover anything weird. But later, my cousin sister found out that my grandpa was crying. HE WAS CRYING OUT LOUDLY!! Try to imagine.. An egoistic man, head of the family... Now crying.. Can you feel the sadness in his heart? He was feeling very guilty because he didn't went doen to JB for a visit, just because my granduncle doesn't want my grandpa to see him in his serious sickness.. He did not insist to go for a visit.. Now, everything is too late.. His beloved brother,doesn't exixts in this world anymore.....

Everyone was sad... My mom,my aunties, my grandparents, and even me... I feel that, why is life so weak and fragile? Why death just come so fast and be so cruel? Why such a good man can just leave us so easily? . . . Why why and why... Questions that can never be answered filled the spaces within me. I thinked back the last time I met my grand-uncle. It was during the November 08. He visited us in Kedah, went out hanging around together and have meals together. Before he went to the airport, I said bye to him and he invited us to stop-by Jb someday. He will bring us to visit famous places in JB and Singapore. His smile, his huge and strong figure, his voice and his everything... It was still so clear... I really can't accept the truth of having his lost. I cried several times...

Life is short, life is unpredictable,unexpectable.... Today you saw me, talking and joking with you, but I might not be here by tomorrow... Nobody knows tomorrow. What will you be tomorrow? Where will you be tomorrow?

The the important thing is to know today. Do something that you will not regret by tomorrow.

Something meaningful that you could remember it for life,

Something sweet that the people you love will cherish for life.
